Mr. Rose is a highly acclaimed attorney with nearly 50 years of professional experience in the field. Retired since 2015, he previously served as secretary of the standing rules committee and partner at Jones Day from the mid-1980s until his retirement. Jones Day is an internationally renowned legal institution with more than 2,500 lawyers on five continents specializing in the full spectrum of transactional, litigation, regulatory, and tax matters. Prior to these appointments, he served as assistant and associate to the attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice, general counsel at the Council on International Economic Policy, special assistant to President Richard Nixon, and law clerk to Justice R. Ammi Cutter at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. He also held the role of general counsel to the White House.

To prepare for his celebrated career, Mr. Rose pursued an education at Yale University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1963. He followed this accomplishment with a Bachelor of Laws, cum laude, from Harvard University in 1967. He has been admitted by the Ohio State Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, The District of Columbia Bar, the Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Rose knew he wanted to become a lawyer from a young age and overcome any challenge that came before him. A member of the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the American Law Institute Club, he is the former president of the Yale Daily News Foundation and principal of the Center for Excellence in Government. In 2009, he was a participant in the Yale Global Alumni Leadership Exchange, as well as the Yale Inaugural Leadership Exchange in 2008. Notably, he was on the board of governors of the Yale Alumni Association from 1996 to 1999. In recognition of his exceptional accomplishments in law, Mr. Rose was selected for inclusion into several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
