The Hon. Alessandra G. Greceanu, Retired Judge for the United Nations Dispute Tribunal and Senior Fellow of Harvard University’s Advanced Leadership Initiative, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in international humanitarian law.

Now retired, Ms. Greceanu excelled as an ad-litem judge for the United Nations Dispute Tribunal in New York from 2012 to 2019. Following this position, she was a senior fellow with Harvard University’s Advanced Leadership Initiative from 2019 to 2021. Prior to these roles, she began her career as a judge in Romania in 1993 and served as a judge in the Court of Appeal in Bucharest in 2012. Alongside her primary positions, Ms. Greceanu has shared her expertise as a judge trainer with the National Institute of Magistracy in Bucharest.

For her professional accomplishments, Ms. Greceanu earned a plaque recognition from the United Nations. In preparation for her career, she attended the University of Bucharest and earned a Bachelor of Laws in 1993. She continued her education at the University of Europe with a master’s degree in refugee law and went on to graduate from the National Institute of Magistracy in Romania with a Master of Laws in magistracy in 1994. In the coming years, Ms. Greceanu hopes to continue her training activities and diplomatic projects. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, ballet and music.
