Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Arens pursued an education at the California State University Northridge, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and related services in 1976. Subsequently completing coursework toward a master’s degree in accounting, he concluded his academic efforts at Loyola Marymount University, graduating from the Loyola Law School with a Master of Laws in taxation in 2002 after obtaining a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2001. Attributing his success to his perseverance and his belief in himself, he was inspired to shift his attention to practicing law by the film “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.” Looking toward the future, Mr. Arens hopes to maintain his practice and continue helping the elderly as well as those living with mental health issues.
