He also dedicates his time to serving on the committee for the Bone Bash Gala with the Arthritis Foundation, supporting the North Texas Food Bank as a donor, and as a member of the American Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, and the North Dallas Bar Association Board. He laid a strong educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Arts in history and philosophy and a Master of Arts in history from the University of North Texas and a Juris Doctor at the School of Law at Texas A&M University in 2000.

He also acknowledges the internal and external pressures that often urge him to give up, but he chooses to ignore them, staying focused on his goals.
