Ms. Nodolf, a seasoned attorney and of counsel at Borland Phiffer Law PLLC, a personal injury firm in Midland, Texas, joined her team in 2025. Leveraging over two decades of expertise as a prosecutor representing the State of Texas, she brings a wealth of success and tenure to her role. Beginning her career at the Midland County District Attorney’s Office in Midland, Ms. Nodolf spent several years as the assistant district attorney, misdemeanor and felony prosecutor, and trial team chief, overseeing all facets of criminal cases, from intake to disposition. In 2017, she was promoted to district attorney for Midland County, where she remained until 2024. This role encompassed representing the State of Texas in all criminal matters countywide, managing five departments, over 25 attorneys, a dozen investigators and nearly 20 paralegals. Ms. Nodolf’s tenure was marked by the oversight of 200 jury trials, 145 bench trials, and a fifteen-week capital murder trial.

A graduate of Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas, Ms. Nodolf received a Bachelor of Arts in history in 2000 before receiving a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University in 2003. She has also remained abreast of industry trends as a prominent member of the Texas District and County Attorneys Association, the National District Attorneys Association and the Midland County Bar Association. She is also active with several other professional organizations, such as the Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs Inc., as one of the first non-African American women invited to join the organization, and is involved civically as a choir member at First Methodist Church and through her junior team tennis program, which provides an opportunity for junior tennis players to compete.

Reflecting on her success, Ms. Nodolf recalls one of her most notable accomplishments following a 2019 mass shooting in Midland and Odessa, Texas, where she activated the Texas Rangers State Critical Response Team, notified the neighboring district attorney about the event, and helped coordinate law enforcement efforts. Subsequently, she drafted legislation and testified before the Texas House and Senate to establish a community awareness cohort in the event of another mass shooting so citizens could receive accurate information. Among other career highlights, Ms. Nodolf had the honor of advising members of the U.S. Congress and the Texas legislature on various subjects, from security to criminal justice, reviewing and proposing legislation, and testifying to court committees. Furthermore, she has been highlighted with several accolades throughout her career, including an Agency Award from the Midland Victims’ Coalition in 2024 and a President’s Award from the Midland County Sheriff’s Association that same year.
