He currently excels as the shareholder and founder of Musgrove Law Firm PC, roles he has held since 2012. In this capacity, he handles a wide range of entrepreneurial responsibilities, including overseeing day-to-day operations, managing the legal team and staff, and bringing in new business. Before this, he was the managing partner of Bellinger & DeWolf LLP from 1997 to 2012. Additionally, he has been admitted to the bar in Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Mr. Musgrove’s decision to start his own business was inspired by his strong background in law and his CPA license. With 25 years of experience as a managing partner in a law firm, he felt well-prepared to assume the role of managing shareholder in his own practice. His extensive experience has enabled him to apply his knowledge effectively, particularly in understanding the tax implications of business transactions. As a corporate lawyer, his accounting background complements his legal expertise, allowing him to navigate balance sheets efficiently and remain vigilant about tax implications in every transaction.

Mr. Musgrove takes immense pride in his 39-year marriage and cherishes raising two accomplished daughters. He is also proud of building a substantial law practice that allowed him to establish his own law firm. He attributes his success to the strong work ethic instilled by his father, who worked for Gulf Oil Corporation before dedicating nearly four decades to entrepreneurship. Additionally, he believes his achievements come from a combination of his innate qualities and the nurturing environment in which he was raised, and his unwavering belief that every challenge has a solution fuels his dedication to swiftly assisting those in need. Reflecting on his career, he highlights the importance of exceeding expectations to achieve the best outcomes for his clients. Looking ahead, he is determined to pass on the solid work ethic his father instilled in him to his daughters.

When advising aspiring professionals, Mr. Musgrove emphasizes the importance of practical skills and professional development beyond academic achievements. He highlights the value of active listening and using those insights to craft effective strategies rather than relying solely on theoretical knowledge. For young lawyers, he stresses the critical need to learn how to attract, manage, and retain clients. Drawing from his experience, he underscores the importance of understanding business dynamics and financial implications in legal matters, advocating for a holistic approach that blends legal expertise with practical business acumen.
