Since 1990, he has been a partner and senior attorney at his law practice, Thompson & Bogran PC, in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Over nearly four decades, he has built a formidable practice known for its success in winning significant trial verdicts in fraud cases. The firm has never faced accusations of negligence or malpractice, a testament to Mr. Thompson’s meticulous attention to detail and commitment to ethical practice.
Apart from his work at Thompson & Bogran PC, Mr. Thompson has served as a general counsel for Mobile Dental Vans Manufacturing Inc. since 1999 and Northwest Electronic Testing Inc. since 2001. His legal acumen has been instrumental in guiding these companies through complex legal landscapes, ensuring compliance and fostering growth.

Since 2004, he has supported Dove Lewis, an animal welfare organization. Mr. Thompson has also been influential on the board of directors and as the general counsel for YoGhana since 2014, supporting educational initiatives in Ghana. Throughout his career, he has served as the trustee for several major charitable trusts that required him to manage billions of dollars, attesting to his integrity. Mr. Thompson also served on the boards of the YMCA of Oregon, The Old Church, and Arts and Communication Magnet Academy. As a former player for Australia’s World Cup team, he continues to pursue his passion for soccer by playing for Germany in 2025 due to roster changes on the Australian team.
