Grace C. Roessler, Esq., Partner and Family Law Attorney at Mirick O’Connell Attorneys at Law, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Family Law.

Ms. Roessler, an esteemed attorney of more than a decade, joined Mirick O’Connell Attorneys at Law in Boston in 2016, focusing her practice on family law. In 2023, she also earned the designation of partner. Among a myriad of responsibilities, she collaborates closely with her clients and responds to opposing counsel. She also drafts pre-trial memos, motions, affidavits, and motions to dismiss. Additionally, Ms. Roessler frequents the courtroom to settle various family law matters, ranging from complex child custody cases, divorce and alimony issues, and asset division to prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, equity complaints, and more.

Before joining her firm, Ms. Roessler garnered experience in family law as an attorney at Brick and Sugarman LLP (Now Brick Jones McBrien & Hickey LLP) from 2012 to 2016. She also excelled as a contract attorney for various organizations between 2011 and 2012, including JPMorgan Chase & Co., working in the mortgage department alongside approximately 100 attorneys focusing on foreclosures. Before passing the bar, Ms. Roessler also held various legal internships and clerkships.

Besides her full-time commitments practicing law, Ms. Roessler has devoted a portion of her time to lecturing on behalf of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education with the Massachusetts Bar Association each quarter.

In preparation for her future, Ms. Roessler studied at the University of Wisconsin Madison, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature, with honors, in 2008. Subsequently, she attended New England Law in Boston, receiving a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, in 2011. Ms. Roessler has been admitted to practice by the Massachusetts and Wisconsin Bar Associations. She also received credentials as a licensed mediator in Massachusetts.

Active in her professional community, Ms. Roessler is a member of the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin. Civically engaged, she has committed to several organizations, including as a member of the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association since 2008 and the Middlesex Probate and Family Court, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as a lawyer for the day since 2012. She has also worked with the Boston Bar Association as a volunteer for family law fundamentals of the family law section and as the communications committee co-chair and pro bono chair since 2017. Outside of law, Ms. Roessler has served as a choir member and first soprano with the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus since 2012.

A well-written writer, Ms. Roessler contributes professional articles to various legal publications in her area of expertise. She has also been active as the editor and co-editor of the Boston Bar Association’s Family Law Newsletter. In 2024, Ms. Roessler also had the opportunity to serve as a conference panelist for the Massachusetts Bar Association.

In recognition of her many accomplishments, Ms. Roessler was named among the Ones to Watch in America by Best Lawyers for 2024 and 2025. Earlier, she received a Rising Star Award from Boston Magazine, recognition by Super Lawyers for Family Law, and was among the Top Lawyers in Family Law and Divorce in Boston Magazine.

Eager for the future, Ms. Roessler’s short-term goal is to expand her client base as a premier, sought-after divorce attorney in Boston and eventually become an equity partner at her Mirick O’Connell Attorneys at Law. She also intends to apply to the firm’s international domestic relations practice and become a member of the International Academy.
