Jeanne Codner-Lippert, Esq., Associate at Bailey Ohio Legal Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Law.

Ms. Lippert is recognized for her expertise as an esteemed attorney affiliated with the Ohio Legal Group in Sandusky, Ohio. Since 2022, she has focused on criminal defense, personal injury and domestic-related cases. In her role, she spends a lot of her time conducting research and putting together briefs. In business for over 40 years, the Ohio Legal Group has been serving the community by providing expert legal advice in matters of a multitude of criminal defense cases, including sex and drug crimes, domestic violence and assault, and traffic offenses, as well as expungements. Additionally, the firm handles family law and personal injury matters.

Having begun her legal career over 30 years ago, Ms. Lippert was an attorney with Bradley & Giardini from 1992 to 1995. Subsequently, she worked as a public defender for Erie County between 1997 and 2000 and then as an assistant prosecutor from 2000 to 2022. Located on the western border of New York State along Lake Erie and part of the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area, Erie County comprises nearly one million residents and includes three cities and 25 town governments. In addition to her work in Erie County, Ms. Lippert garnered success as a self-employed attorney.

In preparation for her future, Ms. Lippert graduated in 1991 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Her degree has been instrumental in her ability to navigate cases and achieve recognition as a prominent lawyer. Additionally, Ms. Lippert has been admitted to practice by the Ohio Bar Association.

Active in her professional community, Ms. Lippert is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She has also been influential in her local community by providing pro bono services. In light of her success, Ms. Lippert received an Ace Award from the Department of Children’s Services. This accolade highlights her commitment to promoting justice and serving her position with integrity.

Inspired to pursue a professional career in law while coming of age, Ms. Lippert was always fascinated by history and the art of debating. Throughout her remarkable career, she has drawn significant satisfaction from her work, assisting clients and helping them gain closure when a guilty verdict is reached. This has been particularly true when working on sex abuse cases involving children. Today, Ms. Lippert has the autonomy to select each case she wants to take on, a privilege she has earned as a seasoned attorney. Typically, she will choose cases she feels most connected to or passionate about.

Ms. Lippert aims to retire within the next decade. Once retired, she plans to settle in Florida, where she can continue contributing her expertise through consulting. She is also considering writing a book where she can share her stories with others.

Grateful for her accomplishments thus far, Ms. Lippert attributes much to her late mother, who taught her that anything in life is possible if you set your mind to it. Just like her mother, she can appreciate what hard work looks like.
