James “Jim” R. Klimaski, President at Klimaski & Associates PC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Employment and Military Law.
Mr. Klimaski is an esteemed trial attorney and the president of Klimaski & Associates PC, an established law firm where he has been representing clients for over 45 years. He has practiced law since 1976, specializing in employment discrimination, employee benefits, military law, civil rights, security clearances, and the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act. Mr. Klimaski primarily works in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, including Maryland and Virginia, and collaborates with local attorneys regarding cases in other states.
In preparation for his legal career, Mr. Klimaski studied at Spring Hill College, earning a Bachelor of Science in history in 1967. Subsequently, he garnered a Master of Arts in psychology from the New School for Social Research in 1973 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Antioch School of Law in 1976. Besides his education, Mr. Klimaski honorably served his country as an infantry officer in the military, where he developed a tremendous work ethic.
Grateful for a very fulfilling legal career, Mr. Klimaski has won most of his cases, even in the early stages, fighting for the rights of pensioners and employees regarding pension plans to ensure employers were not undermining their rights. He attributes his success to his passion for teaching, a profession he views similarly to his, guiding jurors through questioning to help them grasp the truth in criminal and civil cases. Eager for the next chapter in his career, Mr. Klimaski is exploring the idea of conducting research and then documenting and disseminating his discoveries in a forthcoming book.
