Taryn N. Walker, owner of The Law Office of Taryn Walker PLLC and civil case manager at Farmer Law Group PLLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in criminal defense.
With nearly a decade of experience, Ms. Walker has built a successful career in legal services, specializing in personal injury and criminal defense. She has excelled as the owner of The Law Office of Taryn Walker PLLC since 2017 and as a civil case manager at Farmer Law Group PLLC since 2015. Her responsibilities include engaging with insurance companies to advocate for claimants and individuals involved in injury cases, meticulously reviewing evidence for criminal defense cases, and negotiating plea offers with district attorneys while being prepared to take cases to trial if necessary. Previously, she was a case manager at Uvalle Law Firm PLLC from 2014 to 2015 and a law clerk at Domingo Garcia from 2012 to 2014. She is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated and dedicates her time to civic activities, including pro-bono casework, serving as secretary of the Parent-Teacher Association at her daughter’s school, chairing the Planning and Zoning Commission in Lancaster City, and engaging in community service projects through her sorority.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Walker was honored as a Top 10 Under 40 by the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys in 2020 and as a Top 10 Under 40 by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys in 2021. She laid a solid educational foundation for these successes by earning a Bachelor of Science in management science, business, management, marketing, and related support services from Tuskegee University in 2007 and a Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 2011.
Ms. Walker takes great pride in her first case at the firm, which involved a landlord-tenant dispute arising from personal conflicts where the landlord refused to accept rent payments and attempted to evict the tenant. After the case was appealed and retried in the county courts, her client not only won the right to stay but also received financial compensation for the stress caused by the situation. She attributes her success to her daily commitment to serving people with the mindset of serving God. She strives to provide selfless service to her clients, focusing on their well-being rather than just financial gain.
In the coming years, Ms. Walker plans to run for city council in Lancaster. To achieve this goal, she will need to gradually reduce her involvement in her law practice to find a good balance. Currently, she is involved in city development, business relations, and the school board in Lancaster. Her active participation in these areas is a crucial part of her strategy. She intends to scale down her law firm to facilitate this transition, aiming to address community concerns about council members’ availability by making herself more accessible through reduced professional commitments. Her long-term aspiration includes the possibility of becoming mayor in the future.
