With more than 45 years of professional experience, Mr. Dorkey has been a partner at McKenna Long and Aldridge, LLP, now known as Dentons US, LLP, since 2007. Prior to obtaining his current role, he was a partner with Torys, LLP, from 1999 to 2007 and a partner with Haythe and Curley from 1992 to 1999. From 1984 to 1991, he was a partner with Richards and O’Neil and, from 1981 to 1984, he was a partner with Reboul, MacMurray, Hewitt, Maynard and Kristol. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dorkey was an associate with Sullivan and Cromwell from 1975 to 1981 and a law clerk to Justice Samuel J. Roberts of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania from 1973 to 1974.
Mr. Dorkey first pursued an education at Dartmouth College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in 1970. He continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a JD in 1973. He has been admitted to practice in the States of New York and Pennsylvania, as well as the District of Columbia. For his contributions to the field, Mr. Dorkey has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business and Who’s Who in Finance and Industry.
