Apart from his work at MarketVision Research, Mr. de Seingalt has served as a principal at Icosameron, a research services organization headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, since 2018. He also establishes AI strategies that support clients’ digital transformation goals.
Mr. de Seingalt’s earlier tenure as the director of legal and regulatory affairs at PentaCore in Seattle, Washington, from 2017 to 2019 involved navigating complex legal landscapes for the wealth management firm, which was designed to streamline the crypto investment process. Notably, during his graduate studies, Mr. de Seingalt was part of the leadership team for a pioneering cryptocurrency hedge fund, serving as the regulatory guide responsible for fund setup and collaboration with outside counsel. Despite successfully establishing operational protocols, the fund dissolved around 2019 due to the “crypto winter,” an industry-wide downturn that led to widespread closures.
Earlier in his career, Mr. de Seingalt was a project manager at Ogilvy Health, an advertising firm catering to the healthcare sector in Newtown, Connecticut, from 2013 to 2016, where he managed multifaceted projects in healthcare communications. He also worked as the chief researcher at McKenna and Partners, a strategic communications firm in Boston, Massachusetts, between 2012 and 2013, following his initial role as the chief preparator at Washington College from 2009 to 2012.
Mr. de Seingalt’s academic background has been instrumental in shaping his professional achievements. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in humanities, cum laude, from Washington College in 2012 after completing his diploma at Kent School in 2008. From there, Mr. de Seingalt acquired a Doctor of Jurisprudence and a Master of Business Administration in strategic management and innovation from Tulane University, both in 2020.
Beyond his formal education, Mr. de Seingalt was admitted to practice by the Louisiana Bar Association and earned registration as a corporate counsel by the Supreme Court of Ohio. He also holds certificates of advanced study and training in dispute resolution and mediation from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2017.
Mr. de Seingalt’s professional and civic involvement is extensive. He has been active on the editorial board for The Federal Lawyer with the Federal Bar Association and participates on the standards committee for the Insights Association. He also serves as the president and board member of the Federal Bar Association, chairs the Entertainment and Art Law Society, and is affiliated with the British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association. Among other involvements, Mr. de Seingalt is the president of the American Civil Liberties Union, the vice president of The Federalist Society, chair of the American Constitution Society, senior fellow for artificial intelligence for the Lawyers Committee for Cultural Heritage Preservation, fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation and a coordinating committee member for the artificial intelligence task force at ESOMAR.
Highlighting his scholarly achievements, Mr. de Seingalt received the Ted Kooser Poetry Prize at Kent School in 2008. He was also recognized with the Colonel Clarence Hodson Prize at Washington College in 2011, won the Student Bar Association President Award from the law school at Tulane University in 2019, and, among other accolades, received the Dean Donald R. Moore Award from Tulane University in 2020.
Mr. de Seingalt attributes his success to a combination of skill and timing, noting that his focus on modern privacy regulation and AI coincided with their rise to prominence.
