Ms. Moore is an experienced attorney who has demonstrated success through diverse professional experiences and a commitment to improving the practice of family law. Since 2023, she has served as an attorney at Justice Law Firm, PC, where she manages a docket of anywhere between 30 and 70 cases. Ms. Moore’s responsibilities include managing cases, supervising staff, facilitating collaborative law and mediations, overseeing business development and conducting networking events.
Before joining Justice Law Firm, PC, Ms. Moore became the managing attorney at Skylar Moore Law, PLLC, in Texas, a role she has held since 2022. In this capacity, she continues to handle litigation outside her work at Justice Law Firm, PC, further broadening her legal expertise. Additionally, since 2003, Ms. Moore has excelled in providing marketing and management consulting services for Bail Agents Consulting & Continuing Education.
Ms. Moore’s legal journey began in 2017 when she joined Hammerle Finley Law Firm in Lewisville, Texas, as an attorney. The following year, she founded Skylar Moore Law Firm in Allen, Texas, where she focused her practice on real estate law, estate planning and probate, family law, construction law and mediation services until 2019. Ms. Moore then joined The Pennington Firm, PC, now Atwood & McCall, PLLC, in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex from 2019 to 2022. In 2022, she worked for Albin Oldner Law, PLLC, before establishing her current firm.
Before her legal career, Ms. Moore gained extensive experience in business development and project management within the general contracting industry, having worked for Hoar Construction, LLC, and InDev Corp USA. Her diverse background also included roles as a clinic manager at Massage Envy, an office manager at Lynn Thompson Dental Anesthesiology, an office manager and graphic designer for software manuals at Ensoft Inc., and an operations consultant at Kwik Out Bail Bonds.
Ms. Moore’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Texas State University-San Marcos, now Texas State University, completed in 2003, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in 2017. Her legal training was further shaped by an externship with the McLennan County Criminal District Attorney’s Office and her role as a law clerk intern at Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee, PLLC.
In addition to her degrees, Ms. Moore’s professional affiliations reflect her commitment to ongoing education and collaboration within the legal community. She is a member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, the Dallas Bar Association, the Texas Bar College, the collaborative law section of the Tarrant County Bar Association and, among others, the Collin County Bar Association.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Moore is deeply involved in civic activities and pro bono service. Since 2018, she has volunteered as an attorney with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program and served as a court-appointed special advocate for CASA of Collin County. Ms. Moore’s dedication to animal welfare spans three decades, including volunteering with German Shepherd Rescue and supporting horse rescue organizations and Habitat for Humanity International.
Ms. Moore is recognized for her expertise in family law, civil law, business contracts, subcontractor litigation, charitable foundations, mediations and collaborative law. She is most proud of her achievements in family law, a field she entered to improve outcomes for families navigating difficult transitions. Recognizing that traditional litigation often exacerbates familial conflict, Ms. Moore has dedicated her practice to helping clients focus on new beginnings and future possibilities rather than past grievances.
In light of her accomplishments, Ms. Moore has received several awards, including recognition among the Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Award by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys in 2021, recognition as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers every year between 2021 and 2025, and recognition as the Best of Southlake for 2024 and 2025. Influenced by her father, a judge who later became an attorney, Ms. Moore was encouraged from an early age to consider a career in law because of her analytical abilities.
Looking ahead, Ms. Moore remains dedicated to expanding collaborative law and mediation practices not only within Texas but across the nation. She believes that these approaches offer families more constructive solutions than traditional courtroom proceedings ever could.
