Before founding his own firm, Mr. McQueeney was a partner at Braden, Thompson & McQueeney, LLP, in Chester, Maryland, from 2021 to 2024. During his tenure as a partner, he contributed significantly to the firm’s growth and reputation, handling complex legal matters and providing strategic counsel to clients across various sectors.
From 2014 to 2021, Mr. McQueeney served as a legal associate at Braden, Thompson, Poltrack & Mundy, LLP, in Chester, Maryland. In this role, he honed his skills in litigation and transactional law, developing a strong foundation that would later support his advancement to partnership and eventual establishment of his own practice.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. McQueeney was an adjunct professor at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Maryland, from 2018 to 2019. His academic involvement enabled him to share his legal knowledge with students while fostering the next generation of legal professionals.
Mr. McQueeney began his legal career as a law clerk at Braden, Thompson, Poltrack & Mundy, LLP, in Chester, Maryland, in 2014. This initial experience provided him with valuable insights into the workings of a law firm and set the stage for his subsequent professional achievements.
Mr. McQueeney’s educational background has played a pivotal role in shaping his professional journey. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice with a minor in philosophy, with honors, from the University of Maryland in 2010. While in college, he played Division I football and was awarded the President’s Cup Award for attaining the highest grade point average among Maryland Lettermen. This distinction remains one of Mr. McQueeney’s proudest accomplishments and exemplifies his dedication both on and off the field.
Following his undergraduate work, Mr. McQueeney was accepted to the University of Baltimore, where he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2014. Having benefited from a full academic scholarship, he notably completed coursework as part of the Heuisler Honor Society while on campus. He also authored “Fourth and Long: How the Well-Established System of Workers’ Compensation Poses a Substantial Threat to the Financial Stability of the NFL,” while pursuing his law degree, reflecting his interest in both sports and legal scholarship.
Mr. McQueeney is a member of several industry-related organizations, including the Maryland State Bar Association and the Queen Anne’s County Bar Association. His commitment extends beyond professional obligations through active involvement with civic organizations and community initiatives. Mr. McQueeney has volunteered on mission trips for hurricane relief efforts with Kent Island Methodist Church. He has also served as a speaker at adult symposiums focused on estate planning, where he provides free consultations and advice.
Throughout his career, Mr. McQueeney has been recognized for his accomplishments and contributions to the legal field. In 2015, he was honored as a Leading Lawyer in Business Law by What’s Up Eastern Shore. He was also listed as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers every year between 2020 and 2024 and was named among the Lawyers of Distinction in 2025.
Mr. McQueeney attributes much of his success to the unwavering support of his parents, partner, extended family and friends. As the first member of his family to earn a bachelor’s degree, he credits his father’s encouragement for guiding him toward a career in law. Today, Mr. McQueeney remains deeply connected to his roots while continuing to grow personally and professionally.
