Before being acquired by McIntyre, Panzarella, Thanasides, Bringghold, Hoffman & Todd PA, Mr. Wahl was an attorney at Forizs & Dogali PA in Tampa, Florida, from 2001 to 2012. His work during this period refined his skills in litigation and bankruptcy matters, preparing him for future success. Between 1998 and 2001, Mr. Wahl contributed his legal expertise to James, Hoyer, Newcomer, Forizs & Smiljanich PA in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He also earned recognition at Blasingame, Forizs & Smiljanich PA in Saint Petersburg from 1984 to 1997, where he developed a broad foundation in legal practice that allowed him to develop the expertise for which he is recognized today.
Mr. Wahl began his professional journey as a law clerk for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida in Tampa from 1983 to 1984. This formative experience introduced him to the intricacies of bankruptcy law and set the stage for his future accomplishments.
Highly educated, Mr. Wahl obtained a Bachelor of Arts in geology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1980 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Stetson University in 1983. He was also admitted to practice by the Florida Bar Association in 1983.
The inspiration for Mr. Wahl’s career can be traced back to his grandfather’s legacy as a lawyer. Although he did not have the opportunity to observe his grandfather’s daily work firsthand, the character and values exemplified by his grandfather left a lasting impression that influenced Mr. Wahl’s decision to pursue a career in law.
Among Mr. Wahl’s most significant achievements during his legal career was representing the Chapter 11 Trustee in the Greater Ministries bankruptcy case. This matter was one of the largest Ponzi schemes in U.S. history at the time and stands as a testament to his skill and commitment to justice.
Mr. Wahl has been recognized for excellence with an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and inclusion in Who’s Who in American Law. He credits much of his professional success to the guidance of influential mentors throughout his career. He acknowledges Judge Alexander L. Paskay, the former chief judge of the Middle District of Florida, as a tremendous mentor who shaped his approach to the law. Attorney Zala Forizs also played a pivotal role in Mr. Wahl’s development as a legal professional.
Looking ahead, Mr. Wahl aims to enjoy retirement and travel. His enduring commitment to legal excellence and integrity has left a significant mark on the profession and serves as an inspiration for future generations of attorneys.
