She also oversees business operations, planning, marketing, client relations, and legal services, while creating business policies, processes, and driving business development. Her prior experience includes roles as senior associate at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy from 1998 to 2004, associate at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP from 1997 to 1998, and team leader at Fragomen from 1995 to 1997. Earlier in her career, she clerked at Minsky, McCormick & Hallagan in 1995 and at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP in 1992.
Laying a solid educational foundation, Ms. Aponte’s earned a Bachelor of Arts in international affairs from Marquette University in 1990 and a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School in 1994. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1994 and has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 1995. Additionally, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 1989. In light of her impressive undertakings, she was featured in an article in Manage HR Magazine in 2023. She attributes her success to her strong reputation, built through networking and referrals.
Born in Venezuela, Ms. Aponte’s personal experiences as an immigrant shaped her career path. She became a U.S. permanent resident at age seven and naturalized at 17, fostering a deep passion for helping people from diverse cultures. Fluent in three languages by age six, she developed an international perspective and a commitment to supporting others. She takes pride in assisting thousands of clients in securing temporary or permanent residence, often witnessing deeply emotional moments as they achieve their immigration goals.
