Aracely Tagliaventi, Esq., associate counsel for the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in legal services.
With a decade of experience, Ms. Tagliaventi has established a successful career in legal services, currently excelling as counsel at Wexner Medical Center, The Ohio State University, a role she has held since 2023. In this capacity, she is a member of the medical center’s legal department, specializing on the research legal team. She supports clinical trials, handles contract negotiation and drafting, and represents clinical trial investigators. Her prior experience includes serving as senior associate counsel at Central Ohio Transit Authority from 2020 to 2023, associate counsel at Central Ohio Transit Authority from 2019 to 2020, and staff attorney for the Honorable Stephen L. McIntosh at the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas from 2014 to 2019. She laid a strong educational foundation with a Bachelor of Arts in justice studies, graduating with honors in 2010, and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a minor in women’s studies, graduating with highest honors the same year, both from Saint Elizabeth University. She earned a juris doctor with a focus on small business entities from Capital University Law School in 2013 and is admitted to the Ohio Bar.
Ms. Tagliaventi is also actively involved in numerous organizations, serving on the board of the Capital University Law School African American Law Alumni Association and the Juvenile Justice Coalition. She is also president of the Columbus Bar Association and a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, the Federalist Society, Alpha Kappa Delta International Honor Society, Kappa Gamma Pi, Alpha Phi Sigma, and the Ohio Women’s Bar Association. She also served as president of the Black Law Students Association and as a fellow on the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Team, is a member of the John M. Langston Bar Association, and has volunteered with the CHA Animal Shelter, the Pro Bono Clinic at Capital University Law School, and contributing her expertise to pro bono wills and VITA clinics.
Reflecting on her path, a standout moment in Ms. Tagliaventi’s career was being elected as president of the Columbus Bar, and being the first in her family to achieve significant milestones. In light of her impressive undertakings, she was honored with the Ambassador Award and inducted into the Order of the Barristers at Capital University Law School in 2013. She attributes her success to her tenacity, drive, and motivation, as well as the unwavering support of her parents and family. Looking to the future, she aspires to serve as deputy or general counsel, where she can embrace the managerial aspects of in-house counsel roles, including budget management, staff coordination, and other strategic functions.
