Title: Litigation Attorney
Company: Michigan Auto Law
Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan, United States

Jordan A.W. Barkey, litigation attorney at Michigan Auto Law, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in legal services.

With a decade of experience to his credit, Mr. Barkey has established a successful career in legal services, specializing in automotive litigation. He currently excels as a litigation attorney at Michigan Auto Law, a position he has held since 2018. Michigan Auto Law represents clients involved in car, truck, and motorcycle accidents. The firm offers legal services focused on helping accident victims recover compensation for injuries, medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages related to auto accidents. They also provide guidance on Michigan’s no-fault insurance laws, assisting clients in navigating the complexities of insurance claims and securing the benefits they are entitled to under the law. His experience also includes serving as a law clerk at Romano Stancroff in 2013, a student attorney at Free Legal Aid Clinic from 2012 to 2013, and a chemistry lab assistant at Adrian College from 2008 to 2009.

Additionally, since 2021, Mr. Barkey has held a membership with the National Trial Lawyers Association, a professional organization that recognizes and supports top trial attorneys across the United States, the Michigan Association for Justice, and the Genesee County Bar Association. He has also volunteered with the Free Legal Aid Clinic of Detroit, Feed the Homeless and the Genesee County Bar Association. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and was listed as a Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

Laying a solid educational foundation, Mr. Barkey earned a Bachelor of Arts in music from Adrian College in 2012 and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 2014. He was also admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan, the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Reflecting on his path, he takes great pride in having made significant strides throughout his career and personal life. He has secured several million-dollar verdicts and is a fifth-generation practicing attorney in Genesee County and a third-generation American. He attributes his success to several key individuals who have significantly influenced his personal and professional growth – his Aunt, who raised and supported him, his grandfather who imparted valuable life lessons that guided his aspirations, and his professors in law school who challenged him and helped him succeed during his academic journey.

In the coming years, Mr. Barkey is committed to advancing his “art” by painting with logic and expressing his thoughts and ideas. He looks at his legal practice as an art form, and his medium thoughts and words, so he is “painting with logic and arguments.” He hopes to continue practicing law as long as he can, with aspirations of becoming a judge, and an interest in teaching sometime in the future. In advising aspiring professionals, he emphasizes that law school will change you, and the practice of an attorney will change you, but you need to keep the core of who you are, and that will guide you, underscoring that it helps develop you into the attorney that you really ought to be and keeps your own style.
