He became the first attorney to secure a home for an 11-year-old boy in Brooklyn through a court order, following a tragic accident that resulted in severe injuries to the child. Demonstrating both legal acumen and humanitarian concern, Mr. Mazzarisi worked with the judiciary, real estate professionals and financial institutions to ensure the boy’s settlement funds were used to purchase a home that would ultimately belong to him upon reaching adulthood. This innovative approach not only provided immediate stability for the family but also set a new standard for protecting the interests of minors in similar circumstances. The success of this case remains one of Mr. Mazzarisi’s proudest accomplishments among more than 32,000 closings handled during his career.
