Since 2021, she has been instrumental in overseeing regulatory compliance, corporate governance and crisis management. Ms. Jaeger de Foras’s expertise extends to government affairs, addressing complex challenges such as tariffs and other regulatory measures.
Beyond her primary obligations at her law firm, Ms. Jaeger de Foras serves on the board of Rafhan Maize Products Co. Ltd., contributing to its audit, operations and human resources committees since 2022. Based in Pakistan, the company serves as a leading corn provider.
Before her tenure at Ingredion Inc., Ms. Jaeger de Foras held significant positions at Whirlpool Corporation from 2019 to 2021. As the vice president and deputy general counsel of the global law department, she managed a team of approximately 200 attorneys worldwide. Ms. Jaeger de Foras’s leadership in this capacity was pivotal during Europe’s largest-ever product recall of tumble dryers and in managing the legal response to a tragic fire incident in London. Between 2015 and 2019, Ms. Jaeger de Foras was the vice president and general counsel for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Whirlpool Corporation in Comerio, Italy.
Before joining Whirlpool, Ms. Jaeger de Foras excelled as the vice president and deputy general counsel at Luxottica Group Spa in Milan from 2012 to 2015, where she led mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance initiatives. Previously, she was affiliated with Pfizer Inc. for over a decade, hired as a senior corporate counsel for Europe in 2002, working out of New York City. Ms. Jaeger de Foras then relocated to Rome to become an assistant general counsel for the pharmaceutical giant between 2009 and 2012.
Ms. Jaeger de Foras’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in foreign service with a specialization in humanities and international affairs from Georgetown University, completed in 1993. Subsequently, she received a Doctor of Jurisprudence with a specialization in international law and negotiations from the prestigious Harvard University in 1998, where she was recognized as a Hewlett-Packard Law and Negotiations Scholar. Ms. Jaeger de Foras’s education was further enriched by coursework at the University of Human Sciences in Strasbourg. She is fluent in five languages and is recognized as a global German-Canadian citizen.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Jaeger de Foras is deeply committed to civic engagement and mentorship.
