Title: Attorney
Company: Auto Law Firm PC
Location: Escondido, California, United States
Michael A. Klitzke, Esq., attorney at Auto Law Firm PC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in legal services.
Mr. Klitzke is lauded for his expertise as an esteemed founding attorney at Auto Law Firm PC since 2023. With nearly 10 locations throughout California, the prominent law firm has specialized in recovering damages for automobile fraud and lemon law clients. Mr. Klitzke and his team are highly trained in their niche area of the law, such as undisclosed accident and damage and mechanical problems, overcharging for government fees or advertised prices, certified pre-owned issues, and various other problems car buyers may have missed.
Throughout his career, Mr. Klitzke has represented hundreds of individuals and entities in auto fraud and lemon law cases throughout California in state and federal courts. In the past few years, he and his team have recovered $6.5 million for clients through damages and debt relief. His goal is to increase that total to $20 million by 2027. Mr. Klitzke is surrounded by two talented associates, a paralegal and five intake team members.
Before launching Auto Law Firm PC in 2023, Mr. Klitzke was an attorney for the Auto Fraud Legal Center from 2015 to 2023, where he solidified his expertise in this area. He also practiced at Rosner, Barry and Babbitt between 2015 and 2022 and at the Law Office of Michael A. Klitzke from 2014 to 2015.
Mr. Klitzke graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government in 2011, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2014. While pursuing his law degree, he was a national competitor for the institution’s mock trial team and served as an editor for the Law Review. Mr. Klitzke also served as a law clerk with the Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic in 2011 and Pestotnik & Gold LLP in 2013 and interned with the Office of the San Diego County District Attorney in 2013.
Beyond his primary career obligations, Mr. Klitzke edited two books, “Drones and Targeted Killing” by Marjorie Cohn and “Your Brain and Law School,” by Marybeth Herald, released in 2014. She was also involved in a contracts textbook during law school.
Among Mr. Klitzke’s most notable cases was Williams vs. H&L Automotive Financial Services in 2022, which was argued before the California Supreme Court. This case focused on liability issues for finance companies in the automobile industry and took approximately five years to reach the Supreme Court. Still, it resulted in several changes in the law, allowing for the recovery of attorney fees in similar situations and making it possible for consumers in California to secure an attorney with little or no money out of pocket.
In light of his success, Mr. Klitzke received the Best of the Bar Award for Top 100 Verdicts in California in 2022 and was recognized as a Rising Star San Diego by Super Lawyers in 2023. He attributes his success to his passion for his work.
Mr. Klitzke thoroughly enjoys representing clients and looks forward to the future, litigating cases and helping more individuals who have been wronged. Among other goals, he intends to expand his practice while providing ongoing training. He also plans to expand his offerings to include personal injury cases.
