His experience also includes serving as creditors’ rights attorney at Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co. L.P.A., where he handled debt collection litigation for clients including The Huntington National Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Providian, Household, Provident Bank, Ford Motor Credit Company, and Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Croushore also has extensive experience in civil appeals, including breach of contract, employment, personal injury, consumer sales practices, and civil rights cases, as well as tax litigation in U.S. Tax Court, district, and bankruptcy courts. His practice also covers state and federal RICO cases, bankruptcy litigation, criminal defense, and appeals in capital cases, felonies, and misdemeanors. Additionally, he served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division from 1980 to 1984, earning military honors including the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Army Achievement Medal.
Mr. Croushore has contributed to the legal field with publications such as “Not Getting Too Far Out In Front: The Supreme Court Decisions on Same-Sex Marriage” and “Moore’s Federal Practice Update.” He also serves as a mediator for the Hamilton County and Cincinnati Court of Common Pleas and as director of the Kentucky Civil Defense. His bar admissions include Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio, as well as several federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Tax Court, and various U.S. Court of Appeals and District Courts across the country.
Mr. Croushore attributes his success to his approach to appellate litigation, which began with his systematic analysis of every decision made by the Hampton County Court of Appeals, the first court to make its decisions available online. His meticulous data collection process, which involved tracking case outcomes, reasons for dismissals, and building a comprehensive database of judges’ reversal rates, has provided him with unique insights into effective arguments tailored to specific judges. Looking to the future, he has no plans to retire and is focused on advancing his legal career. He currently has a case pending before the Ohio Supreme Court and aspires to take on cases at the U.S. Supreme Court. Additionally, he plans to sit for the Ohio State Bar Association’s examination to become a certified appellate specialist.
