With nearly 10 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Medina has excelled as partner at Brill & Medina LLP since 2019. In her role, she provides oversight at trials and hearings for deportation defense and removal proceedings, prepares and consults with clients to inform them of reliefs available to legalize their status, writes motions and briefs, researches on country and medical conditions, and ensures clients are well tended to. She began her association with the Law Office of Howard R. Brill, P.C as a summer intern before transitioning to the role of senior associate from 2016 to 2019.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Medina pursued an education at Nassau Community College where she completed coursework in liberal arts. She continued her academic efforts at Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Science in communication and media studies, minoring in law and society, with a concentration in racial sociology, in 2012. She concluded her studies at New York Law School, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2015. Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Medina has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She served as a volunteer at Hempstead Public Library and as a volunteer speaker at Nassau Community College.
In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Medina remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the Association for Deportation Defense Attorneys, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association. She held executive and leadership roles with the Immigration Division of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association, the Puerto Rican Bar Association, the Latin American Law Students Association, and Latin American Law Students Association. She was an associate of the Moot Court Association of the New York Law School from 2014 to 2015.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Medina has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was presented with awards for her oral advocacy from moot court associations and received a Who’s Who award while attending Nassau Community College. She was a quarter-finalist of the Gabrielli National Family Law Moot Court Competition and ranked in the Top 3 Briefs in the Puerto Rican Bar Association Moot Court Competition. In the immediate future, she plans to purchase a building and dedicate it to her business as she grows her practice into one of Long Island’s leading immigration law firms that provides honest representation to its clients.
