Since 2019, he has operated as an attorney at law at the offices of Moravcik Threadgill & Starry, PLLC in Midland, Texas. In this role, he concentrates his practice in complex litigation, appeals and cases pertaining to personal injury and wrongful death. Prior to joining his current team, he was the owner of The Starry Law Firm, PLLC in 2021, and he also previously worked extensively with George M. Fleming and Beirne, Maynard & Parsons, LLP. in Houston.
Mr. Starry is highly fond of his work, having discovered his propensity and skill in oral arguments at an early age. As part of his commitment to his profession, he frequently provides pro bono work to members of his community who cannot afford legal services. Furthermore, he remains affiliated with the Supreme Court Bar, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the State Bar of Texas. Well regarded for his accomplishments in the field of home building as well, he was recognized for the Custom Home of the Year by the Greater Houston Home Builders Association in 2007.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Starry pursued a formal education, beginning with his time at the University of Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies in 1983. He subsequently continued his studies at Vanderbilt University Law School, achieving a Juris Doctor in 1986. Mr. Starry also maintains his membership with The Phi Beta Kappa Society, having joined during his collegiate career.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Starry has largely attributed his success to his dedicated work ethic and the guidance of his colleagues. To wit, many of his peers recognized his talents at a younger age and assisted him in finding greater opportunities in the field. In light of his numerous accomplishments, he is most notably proud to hold a patent for an innovative ski pole design which is still used today. In the coming years, Mr. Starry hopes to serve as an educator in some capacity, teaching young lawyers and attorneys the art of persuading courts and writing briefs and opinions.
