In 2005, Ms. Vandenack co-founded and is currently chief executive officer with the premier law firm Vandenack Weaver LLC in Omaha, which serves businesses and business owners, executives, real estate developers and investors, health care providers, professionals, and tax-exempt organizations in the areas of tax, trusts and estates, business succession, high net-worth estate planning, asset protection planning, executive compensation, business, tax dispute resolution, and philanthropy.
Following obtaining a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the College of Saint Mary in Omaha in 1989, Ms. Vandenack continued her education with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, magna cum laude, from the Creighton University School of Law in Omaha in 1992. She thereupon excelled as a consultant with Interactive Legal and Truscendant, founder and chairman of the board of Elite Concierge Trust and Estate Services, LLC, a partner with Koley Jessen PC, Fitzgerald Schorr Barmettler Brennan and Abrahams, Caslow & Cassman LLP. Ms. Vandenack also prospered in private practice from 1992 to 2005 in tax, business, trust and estates, healthcare and asset production planning litigation.
In addition, Ms. Vandenack has provided superior service in education as an instructor in legal research and writing with the Creighton University School of Law and as an instructor in business law, legal research and legal terminology with the VTI Institute for Paralegal Studies, as well as a commentator, writer and speaker with Leimberg Services. Since 2002, Ms. Vandenack has excelled as a fitness instructor in yoga, pilates and spin and is certified as a group fitness instructor by the American Council on Exercise.
Ms. Vandenack’s professional memberships include Women Investing in Nebraska, Boys Town Advisory Board, Creighton University Law School Advisory Board, TABS Board, Omaha Network, Omaha Chamber of Commerce, American Council on Exercise, Hope Lodge Mission Advancement Council, Nebraska Cancer Coalition, Armbrust YMCA, Wellbound Fitness Advisory Board, New Cassel Retirement Center Finance Committee and Creighton University Mentoring Program. She has contributed to numerous legal publications such as Law Practice Magazine, where she has served as editor-in-chief from 2018 to the present. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association and a Fellow in the College of Law Practice Management.
Ms. Vandenack’s numerous professional honors include the James Keane Award from the American Bar Association, recognizing excellence in legal service innovations delivered over the internet. In addition, she has been a two-time Recipient, Best Lawyers of America award, named to Super Lawyers and to Inspiring Women in Business by Metro Magazine.
Ms. Vandenack attributes her success to the people who supported her and to her mentors for their guidance as well as to her persistence and work ethic, and maintains that her most notable achievement has been being named a fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). She’s also most proud of being the commentator for Leimberg Services as she writes and speaks nationally helping to educate the profession through her involvement.
In the coming years, Ms. Vandenack hopes to serve and be more involved on several boards and committees for consulting roles in helping others pursue their dreams.
