A partner at Madden, Jones, Cole & Johnson since 1980, Mr. Cole has more than 35 years of professional excellence in his industry. In this position, he focuses on litigation with extensive experience in business, employment, trust, personal injury, and real estate matters, representing publicly traded entities, corporations, partnerships to LLCs, and sole proprietorships. Initially attending college to become a history teacher, Mr. Cole focused his attention on athletics. Faced with the challenge of deciding a career for his future, he delved into the field of law, noting that it would be useful in a number of applications and settings. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from California State University in 1977, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from Loyola Law School in 1980, where he represented the school in several state and national moot court competitions. He was subsequently admitted to practice law in the state of California.
Mr. Cole was inspired to continue practicing law due to his desire to help others who did not have the means of helping themselves, a trait he inherited from his father, a Baptist minister. Upon discussing their life goals, they realized that their goals in life were inherently similar, although in different fields. Mr. Cole states that he believes in the goodness of the justice system and values the opportunities he is given to make a genuine different in the lives of his clients.
