After receiving a Bachelor of Science in mass communications from Florida State University in 1981, Mr. Wax received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Miami in 1985. He has since been admitted to practice by the Florida Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Moreover, Mr. Wax holds certification from the National Criminal Defense College. Besides his educational accomplishments, he is active in his professional community as a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), where he once chaired the association’s Death is Different Seminar. Mr. Wax also serves as the director-at-large and past president of the Florida Lawyers Network.
Reflecting on over 35 years of success in the legal realm, Mr. Wax is most grateful for being able to positively impact others’ lives while also understanding the emotional implications of representing clients, particularly those facing criminal charges. Consistently recognized for his hard work, Mr. Wax was honored with a President’s Service Award from the FACDL in 2007, maintains an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubbel since 2007, received an Avvo Rating of 10 in 2015, and has been featured in Super Lawyers every year since 2017.
