Established in 2011 with his father, Jorge Suro, a skilled lawyer of over 30 years with extensive experience in personal injury, wrongful death and employment discrimination cases, Mr. Suro focuses his practice on serving the injured. Based in Miami, the family practice has a second location in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Before joining his father, Mr. Suro garnered experience as an associate attorney at McConnell Valdés LLC between 2008 and 2011. This role was foundational to his success, where he gained tremendous experience upholding justice for his clients.
Besides his commitments at Suro & Suro, Mr. Suro is the founder of The Rich Miser since 2016. His blog is a place where he offers tips and tricks that he has learned over the years about how to save money and live wisely. Among the various topics Mr. Suro has covered in the past are personal finance and investing, such as mutual stocks, bonds and cryptocurrency, philosophy, self-improvement, technology, travel, fitness, and more.
Born in San Juan, Mr. Suro completed high school before traveling to the U.S. to earn a Bachelor of Arts in political science and philosophy at Boston College in 2005. Returning to the island, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras in 2008 and has since become admitted to practice by the Florida Bar Association. As a dedicated member of his professional community, Mr. Suro engages with the Florida Justice Association, the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Florida, the Florida Bar, the Cuban-American Bar Association and the Society for Human Resources Management. Inspired by his father to pursue a career in law, Mr. Suro witnessed first-hand the hard work and dedication it took to be successful. Attributing his perseverance and work ethic to his success today, he is eager to continue growing his already-established law firm by venturing into other areas of the law, including the emerging area of crypto law and international transactions. Ultimately, his goal is to have Suro & Suro become recognized as a leading law firm in Miami, marked by a reputation for exceptional client service, legal expertise, and commitment to justice.
