Beginning his legal career over 35 years ago, Mr. Saunders was hired to work for Thompson & Knight LLP in 1986 in the corporate/securities section in the Dallas and Austin, Texas, offices. Subsequently, he became a partner at Prickett and Saunders PLLC between 1993 and 1999, providing legal expertise to startup and established businesses. Over the next 20 years, Mr. Saunders continually progressed into higher-level positions with companies like InVenio Healthcare LLC as principal and general counsel, Shoutz Inc. as the executive vice president and general counsel, and TruClear Water Solutions Inc. as the vice president and general counsel.
In preparation for his legal career, Mr. Saunders received an undergraduate degree in economics and history from Duke University in 1983 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Southern Methodist University in 1986. He has been admitted to practice by the California and Texas Bar Associations and the Supreme Court of California. He also holds a Series 79 license from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Besides his educational background, Mr. Saunders remains relevant in his field as a member of the business law section of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Texas, and as a member of the Dallas Bar Association. He also enjoys giving back through Hope Fellowship Church by participating in charity events. Mr. Saunders attributes his success, particularly the multiple startup ventures he has been involved in, to his commitment to serving others and his passion for making a difference in the legal field.
