Mr. Hakim has counseled these clients in various complex matters, from leasing and financing to acquisitions, dispositions, development and construction.

Before joining SSRGA, Mr. Hakim was an attorney at Holland & King LLP in New York City as part of its real estate group. This foundational time, which spanned from 2012 to 2016, was instrumental in his success in this niche area of the law. There, Mr. Hakim focused his practice on commercial real estate transactions and represented buyers and sellers of residential properties and lenders regarding loans to commercial and cooperative developments.
Besides his primary career objectives at SSRGA, Mr. Hakim has provided his legal expertise to boards of cooperatives and condominiums. He has also spoken publicly before groups on matters relating to these fields.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Hakim earned a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, in 1995, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Saint John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, in 1999. He was admitted to practice by the New Jersey and New York Bar Associations in 1999 and 2000, respectively.
Part of Mr. Hakim’s ongoing success includes his membership in prominent legal organizations, such as the New York State Bar Association. This affiliation allows him to remain aware of industry trends while networking with other legal professionals. Mr. Hakim has also been civically active with a local synagogue and donates to various causes that support cancer research and Alzheimer’s disease. Giving back to these community organizations demonstrates his commitment to causes dear to him.
Mr. Hakim’s proficiency in real estate cooperative and condominium communities has allowed him to contribute to various professional publications, such as The New York Times and The Cooperator News. He credits much of his success to the incredible support of his wife, whom he has been with since before law school. Moreover, his ability to connect with his clients and truly understand and analyze their issues has been critical to his success. Mr. Hakim’s desire to work with them on a deeper level also fosters a passion for closer collaboration.
