Mr. Lampert is an esteemed attorney who founded LampertADR in 2015, specializing as an arbitrator and mediator throughout the New York City area. Before pivoting into dispute resolution, he enjoyed a lengthy career in the legal field, beginning in 1976 as an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, where he remained for over a decade. He subsequently became a partner at McManamon Scotland and Predecessors from 1987 to 1998, and he was both a partner and vice chair of litigation at Sau Ewing LLP between 1997 and 2008. Following these tenures, Mr. Lampert became the senior vice president and deputy general counsel at BGC Partners, a major financial services company based in London, where he was involved in arbitration, litigation, mediation, intellectual property, employment and many other domestic and international matters for BGC and its affiliate Cantor Fitzgerald, until establishing LampertADR. Mr. Lampert’s time at BGC Partners had him residing in London for a portion of the year and routinely traveling to other countries.
Besides his primary obligations in the field, Mr. Lampert has been an adjunct professor in the school of law at Hofstra University in New York since 2015. He previously served on numerous advisory boards, including for the University at Albany and Rockefeller College. Leveraging his rich educational background, Mr. Lampert received an undergraduate degree in political science and government and rhetoric and communication from the University at Albany in 1973, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the prestigious Harvard University in 1976. He also holds credentials as an accredited mediator through CEDR Limited.
As a dedicated legal professional, Mr. Lampert has been affiliated with a multitude of professional organizations, such as the Employment Lawyers Association, the American Arbitration Association, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution Inc., the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is the founder, secretary and director of the Association of Commercial and Transactional ADR Professionals. As a seasoned expert, Mr. Lampert has contributed to numerous professional journals.
