From 2010 to 2020, he served as chief legal officer and general counsel at GB Global Inc. His career includes pivotal roles such as director on the board of directors at Digital Domain Media Group Inc. from 2011 to 2016. From 2002 to 2010, he represented District 47 as a state representative in the Florida House of Representatives. Earlier highlights include serving as managing partner at Prevatt, England, Ambler, and Taylor Law Firm from 1993 to 1996. He began his legal career as a partner at Stearns, Weaver, Miller, Weissler, Aladeff & Sitterson, PA, from 1991 to 1993, following an earlier role as an associate at Barr, Murman, & Tonelli, PA, in 1991. In addition to his legal career, he served in the military as a reserve judge advocate from 1991 to 2005 and previously as a commissioned officer and designated judge advocate from 1986 to 1991 at MacDill Air Force Base, where he achieved the rank of major. Furthermore, he has excelled as an adjunct law professor at Stetson University’s College of Law and an adjunct professor of entertainment law at the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts.

Laying a solid foundation for his future success, Mr. Ambler pursued an education at Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics and business administration, which he completed in 1983, followed by a Juris Doctor at Southwestern Law School in 1986. Following these accomplishments, he completed certifications as a civil mediator by the Florida Supreme Court in 2002. In addition to his primary vocation, he has maintained involvement with the GAS Film Festival and served as a board member on the Hillsborough County Charter Review Board since 2000. He has been associated with the Jasper International Film Festival for 15 years and actively participated in the HCBA “Ask A Lawyer” Pro Bono Program for seven years. He held the role of president on the board of trustees for the Northdale Special Dependent District for seven years and served as president and member of the board of directors for Brentwood Park’s homeowner’s association for 10 years. He was also involved with the White House Conference for Children and Youth Task Force. He was also a member of the Military & Veterans Affairs Committee at The Florida Bar and chaired the military liaison committee at the Hillsborough County Bar Association during the same period. He chaired the Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law Section at the Hillsborough County Bar Association for five years. Additionally, he served as chairman of the committee for West Central Florida at the Cornell University Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network and was a member of the board of directors at the Cornell Club of the Suncoast for five years. His involvement extends to his role as president of the Cornell Inter-fraternity Council and Judicial Administrator for Phi Alpha Omega Fraternity. He is also affiliated with the American Trial Lawyers Association.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Ambler was recognized with the Have a Heart Award by the HCBA in 2002 and holds an AV Rating in the Martindale-Hubbell National Law Directory. He was presented with the Harmon Award for Most Outstanding Reserve Judge Advocate in the U.S. Air Force by the Air Force Judge Advocate General. His military service also earned him the Air Force Achievement Medal, two Air Force Meritorious Service Medals, and two National Defense Services Medals. In academic achievement, he received the Golden Eagle Award of Excellence as the Top Student in the United States from the American Academy of Achievement and was a recipient of the Air Force ROTC Scholarship. A standout moment in his career was his tenure as a member of the House of Representatives, where he had the opportunity to enact legislative changes that positively impacted his constituents and community. When giving advice to aspiring professionals, he emphasizes the importance of integrity, dedication to public service, and continuous learning to achieve success in both legal and civic roles. He attributes his success to his love for his family, a deep sense of public service, and his commitment to giving back to his community and helping others. Looking ahead, he aims to continue making a meaningful impact on his community by advocating for important issues and advancing initiatives for societal betterment. He plans to remain actively engaged in his work, driven by his passion and dedication.
