Mr. Paul has been a shareholder and partner with Mechanik Nuccio Hearne & Wester, P.A. of Tampa, Florida since 2009. Previously, he was a partner and shareholder of several large national and international law firms. He began his law career in 1973 as an attorney with the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance, where he rose to the position of Senior Attorney prior to leaving for private practice in New York City in 1977.
Mr. Paul graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He subsequently earned diplomas from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in both its evening school and its day school. He continued his education at Brooklyn Law School in New York City, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 1973; and he subsequently studied taxation at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. in 1975.
During his legal career, Mr. Paul has written articles for publications by The Florida Bar and his prior law firms. He also has served on boards of directors of several non-profit corporations and the board of a for-profit corporation. His persistence and dedication have helped him achieve his career success. He plans to continue practicing law for the next several years and consistently finds a thrill in the challenges and problem-solving aspects of legal matters.
