He began his career as a conference presenter with the ATM Industry Association. He established himself as a law partner at his own law practice in Portland, Oregon from 1987 to 1998. He worked as associate general counsel at Card Capture Services from 1998 to 2001 before transitioning to the role of senior assistant attorney general of Salem, Oregon from 2002 to 2003. At Vero, he garnered a stellar reputation as chief legal officer and executive vice president from 2003 to 2008.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Ford pursued an education at the University of San Francisco, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in government in 1970. He concluded his studies at the Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 1974. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He contributes to fundraising initiatives at local schools in his community, as a basketball coach at the Catholic Youth Organization, and sponsors children in Africa and South America.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Ford remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the ATM Industry Association, the Knights of Columbus, the BPO Elks, and the Oregon State Bar Association. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with two Outstanding Service Awards from the ATM Industry Association in 2015 and 2018 and was recognized as an Honorary ATM Industry Champion.
Mr. Ford attributes his success to his diverse legal expertise and extensive experience in both law firms and the corporate realm. His journey includes integral roles such as overseeing contract reviews for NASA during law school, establishing in-house legal departments for insurance companies, and managing multiple departments as an executive vice president and chief legal officer. In the immediate future, he intends to transition to a consulting role, offering his expertise to individuals and businesses seeking guidance in various legal matters.
