Boyd F. Jensen, II, owner of Garrett & Jensen, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in law.
With 46 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Jensen has excelled at Garrett & Jensen since 1978 when he got his start as a law clerk. He became the firm’s owner in 1990. Garrett & Jensen specializes in civil litigation, business support, entertainment, and professional document preparation. In his role, he acts as outside general counsel for both large and small businesses and public advocacy organizations within the field of amusement rides and attractions. Previously, he worked as the managing editor of the Clinical Law Reporter.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Jensen pursued an education at the University of Utah where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and speech communication in 1976. He concluded his studies at Pepperdine School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in law in 1979. He has been licensed to practice law by the Wyoming State Bar, the Utah State Bar, and the State Bar of California.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Jensen has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He sat on the board of visitors at Pepperdine School of Law from 1998 to 2004 and was vice president of the LDS Student Association from 1971 to 1972. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the Wyoming State Bar, the Utah State Bar, the State Bar of California, the Beehive Honor Society, and the Political Science Honor Society. He served as the president of Pi Sigma Alpha.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Jensen has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyer and Marquis Who’s Who in America. He has been recognized with the peer-ranked status of AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, which also hailed him among the top one percent of American lawyers since 2019. He was presented with Service Awards by the American Society for Testing and Materials in 2023 and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions in 2001. He has received advocate level distinction from the American Board of Trial Advocates since 1993 and placed second in the Vincent Dalsimer Moot Court Competition in 1978.
