Daniel Aiello, trial attorney at Trantolo & Trantolo Personal Injury Lawyers, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in trial law.
Embarking on his educational journey, Mr. Aiello earned his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo Law School in 2010. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of New York and the Federal Court of the Eastern and Southern districts. With a career spanning over a decade, he has held various roles in the legal field. He began his career as a trial attorney doing defense work as an in-house attorney at insurance defense firms, and later, in-house with the largest insurance company in the Tri-State area at that time. Despite his undefeated trial record as a defense lawyer, he maintained his compassion and calling to help human beings over corporations to elevate the value of health, dignity and safety in his community. He then was recruited to work at Cellino & Barnes, the largest personal injury firm in the state from 2015 to 2020, followed by a tenure at Cellino Law from 2020 to 2022. In 2022, he transitioned to his current role at Trantolo & Trantolo Personal Injury Lawyers since 2022. The firm’s creed of helping others and treating clients like family aligned with his “why” he became a trial lawyer in the first place.
A testament to his professional prowess, Mr. Aiello has garnered numerous accolades throughout his career. He has been recognized as a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, a Super Lawyers Rising Star, and has received the Best of the Bar and TopVerdict awards for his notable settlements in New York. His achievements underscore his commitment to delivering exceptional results for his clients, with exemplar settlements north of $2 million. Over the past seven years helping people, he has recovered over $30 million in gross settlements, understanding that if the case cannot be resolved for what is right and just, Mr. Aiello will take the case to trial as a creative, prepared storyteller who has taken over 100 cases to decision by jury or trial judge as a former defense and now plaintiff trial attorney.
Mr. Aiello attributes his success to his father, instilling in him an unwavering work ethic and dedication. He also attributes his ability to work smarter, not harder, and his intrinsic empathy and capacity for taking on the struggles of others. In addition, he prides himself on having the qualities of his grandfather, a Navy and Nassau County Police Department veteran, and his mother, a natural caregiver, and his wife, a special education teacher and chairperson. He also hopes to spread good in this world through perseverance and a beacon of courage, fighting for victims and that hands of those who did them harm.
Outside of his legal endeavors, Mr. Aiello actively contributes to causes such as suicide prevention and pancreatic cancer awareness. He also donates presents to a family in need every Christmas. Additionally, he volunteers as a Movember participant to support mental health initiatives in honor of his brother-in-law, who tragically passed in 2023 at age 35. To truly value health, he participates in ultra-marathons of 50 miles or more, pushing his body and mind to new limits.
Looking ahead, Mr. Aiello envisions further growth in his practice as a firm that treats their clients like family and elevates health and safety in our communities, giving people, rather than corporations that tend to devalue human dignity and enable bad behavior, the power to value the health of others and right the wrongs of bad actors to effect change for a safer, better world for his daughters, family, friends, clients and his community at-large.
