With nearly 40 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Greenwald has excelled as executive director at the Construction Institute since 2015. She began her career as general counsel at Greenwald Cassell Associates, Inc. from 1984 to 2015. She has held the role of mediator at Discovery Dispute Solutions since 2011 and as arbitrator and mediator at Construction Dispute Solutions since 2011. Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Greenwald pursued an education at Brown University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in aquatic biology in 1978. She concluded her studies at Harvard Law School, graduating with her Juris Doctorate in 1981.
In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Greenwald remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a panelist for two committees and a member of several associations including the Virginia State Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Industry Advisory Council to the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services. She sat on the legislative committee of the College of Commercial Arbitrators, co-chaired the Women in Dispute Resolution Committee at the American Bar Association, and was a board member of the Connecticut Mediation Association.
She found success with five authored or edited works published in the National Association of Surety Bond Providers, the ABA Forum on Construction Law Presentation Materials, High-Profile, and the American Bar Association. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was selected as a fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers in 2022, received a Fulbright Scholarship in 1984, and elected to Sigma Xi in 1978.
