With decades of legal experience to his credit, Mr. Miller has excelled as a self-employed lawyer since 2015. Before this role, he worked with Hill and Barlow for more than 25 years. For 12 years, he garnered experience as senior counsel to Goulston & Storrs PC.
In preparation for his legal career, Mr. Miller attended Duke University and earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1966. In 1973, he graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Master of Business Administration. In 1976, Mr. Miller concluded his higher education with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School. He was admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and Vermont in 1977.
Before his career in the law, Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Navy for three years in the late 1960s. He has contributed his spare time to his local episcopal church and has maintained membership with a Boston-centered informal employee benefits group. Mr. Miller attributes his success to his foundation in education and his aptitude for his field, as his work speaks for itself.
Among his accomplishments, Mr. Miller considers solving his clients’ issues his greatest achievement. He plans to work for as long as he is able and enjoy spending time with his family after he retires. In his spare time, Mr. Miller enjoys reading.
