Gregory Raymond LaPapa, Attorney at LaPapa Law Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in civic and criminal law.

With decades of experience to his credit, Mr. LaPapa has excelled as an attorney with the LaPapa Law Group in Chicago since 1993. Prior to this post, he worked with a personal injury law firm for three years, served as the assistant attorney general for the Illinois Attorney General’s Office for three years and contributed to the legal department and special investigation unit with State Farm for two years. Mr. LaPapa began his legal career with a one-year tenure at a medical malpractice law firm.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. LaPapa pursued an education at DePaul University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in commerce in 1978. He concluded his studies at the DePaul University School of Law in 1982, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1982. In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. LaPapa has been admitted to practice law by the Illinois State Bar Association.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. LaPapa has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. In addition to caring for his rescue dogs, he proudly provides legal assistance to lower-income families, minority communities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. He has also been affiliated with such organizations as Phi Eta Sigma and Delta Mu Delta as a lifetime member. Furthermore, Mr. LaPapa was active as a supervisor in the private sector before shifting his attention to law.

Attributing his success to his upbringing, Mr. LaPapa was notable as the first in his family to graduate from college and law school, having harbored an intense desire to never disappoint his parents. Among the many highlights of his career, he is incredibly proud of helping save the life of a 1,200-lb boar named Rambo that was adopted into Lambs Farm in Libertyville, Illinois, which is a nonprofit organization for adults with developmental disabilities. Looking toward the future, Mr. LaPapa hopes to continue fostering his daughter’s burgeoning nursing career while representing more indigenous people on a pro bono basis before settling into his eventual well-deserved retirement.
