In this capacity, Mr. Luccarelli appears in court, conducts depositions, drafts motions and participates in conference calls with clients. He handles criminal defense cases for small businesses facing local criminal charges, earning coverage for his work in multiple outlets. His practice recently expanded to include representing villages and municipalities throughout Long Island.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Luccarelli has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at St. John’s University since 2024. He shares his knowledge and experience with aspiring legal professionals while maintaining his active role at McLaughlin & Stern LLP.

From 2019 to 2023, Mr. Luccarelli served as an assistant district attorney in the felony trial bureau III at the District Attorney’s Office in Queens, New York. In this role, he prosecuted felony cases and honed his litigation skills in a high-pressure environment. Before this position, Mr. Luccarelli worked as an associate at Silberstein, Awad & Miklos PC between 2018 and 2019, where he gained valuable civil litigation experience.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Luccarelli was a summer associate at Borchert & LaSpina PC in the New York City metropolitan area from 2016 to 2017. He also completed a legal internship at the District Attorney’s Office in Nassau County, New York, in 2016. These formative experiences provided Mr. Luccarelli with a strong foundation for his subsequent achievements.

Mr. Luccarelli’s academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus in 2014 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. John’s University in 2018. He was admitted to practice by the New York Bar Association.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Luccarelli is committed to civic engagement through pro bono services, reflecting his dedication to serving the broader community. Among his most notable achievements was successfully defending the Capri Motel, securing the dismissal of two dozen criminal charges. He also prosecuted civil claims on behalf of the Generoso Pope Foundation, a charitable organization that had suffered from misappropriation of funds by its former president. Through Mr. Luccarelli’s efforts, a substantial judgment was obtained in favor of the foundation, underscoring his commitment to justice and client advocacy.

Widely regarded for his high level of expertise in his areas of practice, Mr. Luccarelli credits much of his success to learning from more experienced individuals and absorbing as much knowledge as possible throughout his education and early career. Initially uncertain about his professional path, he chose law for its versatility and has found fulfillment advocating for others, a pursuit that aligns closely with his skills and values.

Looking ahead, Mr. Luccarelli aims to continue expanding his practice in defamation and crisis management while further broadening the scope of his diverse legal work. He remains steadfastly committed to representing clients he believes in and providing them with unwavering support.
