Title: Managing Partner
Company: Berger Fink LLP
Location: Forest Hills, New York, United States
Jason M. Fink, Esq., managing partner at Berger Fink LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in commercial real estate law.
When he initially started his vocational journey learning computer science, Mr. Fink couldn’t have known that his true calling would be to become a lawyer. However, in the nearly 30 years since starting down that path, he has called on his expertise in computer science and used it to differentiate himself and ensure consistent success.
Mr. Fink began his legal career in 1998 as a senior adjunct fellow with the Hudson Institute Inc., a think tank where he conducted research and honed his research skills. Following that, he became a patent assertion entity at LexisNexis Matthew Bender, where he also worked as an editor on the publication “Benedict on Admiralty.” Demonstrating his knowledge of admiralty law and maritime law, early areas of interest for his legal studies, Mr. Fink oversaw the editing and publication of ten annual legal publications totaling over 6,500 pages. From 2012 to 2018, he gained further experience in legal practice as in-house counsel at CHSPM and as an associate and managing associate at Wenig Saltiel LLP.
In 2018, Mr. Fink established his own firm, Berger Fink LLP, where he has served as a managing partner since. In this role, he focuses on handling real estate and business disputes, specializing in thoughtful and efficient use of motions. Mr. Fink prides himself on being aggressive with motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment. He employs a computer-based approach, informed by his early fascination with computer science, that allows him to quickly perform focused searches through vast amounts of information, leading to most of his cases being resolved quickly.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Fink set a foundation in his academic work. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from New York University in 1992. Subsequently, Mr. Fink earned a Juris Doctor from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, graduating cum laude in 1995. He has been admitted to the bar in New York State, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York.
A prolific writer and editor, Mr. Fink has been associated with a variety of legal publications. Alongside his aforementioned work on “Benedict on Admiralty,” he was also an editor for “Purchase and Sale of Real Property” and seven other legal treatises for LexisNexis Matthew Bender. Mr. Fink has previously contributed Cardozo Law Review and American Outlook Magazine. Among other accolades, he was named a Super Lawyer in 2024 and 2025.
In addition to his career, Mr. Fink is a devoted husband and a loving father to two children. In his free time, he relaxes with exercise, jazz music and time with the family. As he plans for the future, Mr. Fink seeks to build up Berger Fink LLP as a company that strikes a balance between larger, impersonal law firms and smaller firms that are often too easily overwhelmed. He aims to fill this gap in the field for medium-sized agencies, hiring the right talent to guarantee that Berger Fink LLP can continue delivering dependable results to clients.
