Her day-to-day tasks include collaborating with clients to plan for the future, including drawing up wills to ensure their assets are appropriately distributed upon death. This includes going over assets and debts and reviewing all accounts. Ms. Yampolsky also focuses on various considerations, such as the guardianship of minor children and pets.
Before pivoting into entrepreneurship by founding her Eugene, Oregon-based firm, Ms. Yampolsky served as a court-appointed attorney for a local municipality in Oregon. During this time, she honed her skills in bankruptcy law, which she found to be one of her most rewarding career experiences.
Ms. Yampolsky’s academic foundation was laid at the University of Oregon in Eugene, where she earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2001. Her education has been instrumental in her professional achievements, equipping her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in various legal disciplines. Ms. Yampolsky was admitted to practice by the Oregon Bar Association, making her highly qualified in her field.
Apart from her formal education, Ms. Yampolsky is a valued member of the Lane County Bar Association. Established in 1940, the association comprises a group of attorneys, judges, paralegals and industry-related professionals who focus on enhancing the quality of services, leadership and goodwill. Ms. Yampolsky’s membership allows her to remain at the forefront of the legal community while allowing her to network with like-minded individuals.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Yampolsky has been deeply involved in civic activities. For over a decade, she was a stay-at-home parent and dedicated volunteer, serving as the shooting sports director for the Boy Scouts of America and as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of the USA. Ms. Yampolsky’s commitment to these organizations earned her awards for volunteering, reflecting her dedication to community service.
Grateful for her continued success in the legal realm, Ms. Yampolsky recalls one of her proudest cases during her earlier career while employed by the Oregon municipality. Working closely with an older couple on a bankruptcy case, she assisted them with their overwhelming medical debt, successfully resolving their financial issues so that they owed nothing. This experience solidified Ms. Yampolsky’s ability to provide compassionate and effective legal assistance and set the stage for her future career.
Looking ahead, Ms. Yampolsky plans to continue the legacy of a local and esteemed estate planning attorney who served the community for 40 years before his passing. She aims to focus on managing his casework through her firm while remaining supportive in the community, ensuring that residents have access to reliable estate planning services. Ms. Yampolsky is eager to provide the support and expertise her clients deserve while ensuring their assets are fully protected.
