Mr. Pianko is an established attorney who founded Pianko Law Group in New York City to represent the injured. Focusing his practice on getting justice for his clients and their families, he draws tremendous satisfaction from helping victims receive the compensation they deserve. Often representing low-income individuals on a contingency basis, it is gratifying for Mr. Pianko to help improve their lives, particularly those who cannot return to work due to their injuries. In addition to working directly with clients and litigating, he manages his firm, which includes another attorney, a paralegal, and the progress of every case. Since the launch of his firm, Mr. Pianko has consistently recovered tens of millions of dollars annually for victims of injuries that occurred through no fault of their own, generating substantial settlements for clients throughout New York and New Jersey.
A graduate of Excelsior University, Mr. Pianko received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2005. Accepted to Fordham University, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2009. He has actively engaged in several industry-related organizations, including the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association, where he was also a past vice chair. He also volunteers for the National Appellate Advocacy Competition and is active civically on the board of Tifereth Israel Passaic and by sponsoring pro triathletes.
Mr. Pianko attributes his success to ambition, hard work, a sound support system and a willingness to take calculated risks. Starting his firm right out of law school during the economic collapse of 2009 was one of them. However, Mr. Pianko has thrived, earning him recognition with an Elite Lawyer Award and a nomination for Super Lawyers. Eager to continue growing Pianko Law Group, he also intends to increase his pro bono work to help others out of poverty. Furthermore, he plans to continue sponsoring American professional athletes, particularly triathletes. As a triathlete, he understands the level of training to be successful and wishes to help those athletes struggling financially.
