Before joining her Los Angeles firm, Ms. Smolowe clerked for the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, dating back to 2006. She is a graduate of the prestigious Yale University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in history, magna cum laude, in 2002 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2006. Shortly thereafter, she was admitted to practice by the California Bar Association. Ms. Smolowe is affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the American Bar Association, and is active on the board of the Jerome N. Frank Legal Services Organization and serves in civic capacities on the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
As an expert in her field, Ms. Smolowe has contributed articles to Law360 and other notable publications, was featured in Leaders of Influence: Thriving in Their 40s in the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2023, and has been recognized with numerous accolades, including as a Southern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers and as a 500 Leading Litigator in America by Law Dragon Inc.
