Kamyar “Kamy” Molavi, Esq., attorney at Molavi Law P.C., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction law and commercial litigation.
Drawing on more than 40 years of experience, Mr. Molavi has served as an attorney at Molavi Law P.C. since 2014. In this position, he represents contractors, subcontractors, owners, sureties and design professionals in matters involving commercial litigation and construction and surety law. This area of interest builds off of Mr. Molavi’s early career, beginning as a project manager and estimator for Barge Wagener Construction in 1983 and holding the same roles at BLI Construction Company Inc. in 1986. After deciding to pursue law, he contributed as a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, and Wessiman Zucker Euster P.C. Mr. Molavi gained further experience as a partner with Freeman Mathis & Gary for five years before establishing his own practice.
Before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Molavi created a solid academic foundation for himself. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a Master of Science in civil engineering from the George Institute of Technology in the early 1980s. Mr. Molavi was inspired to shift to a career as a lawyer after reading “The Best Defense” by Alan Dershowitz. He earned a Juris Doctor from Emory University in 1991. Mr. Molavi has been admitted to the bar for eleven circuit courts, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Court of Appeals and all three of Georgia’s federal district courts.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Molavi is a devoted husband who finds joy in running and spending time with his two children. Looking to the future, he aims to shift away from active litigation and spend more time focused on arbitration and mediation. This change will allow Mr. Molavi to take on jobs as needed rather than being associated with a firm.
