His prior experience includes serving as an attorney at Triangle Divorce Lawyers and McCollum Law PC in 2019, where he also worked as legal staff from 2018 to 2019. Earlier in his career, he gained experience as a student attorney through third-year practical training at North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2018 and Charlene Edwards Law Office in 2017. He also served as a law clerk with the United States Attorneys’ Offices in 2016 and worked in a corporate role at Overton’s from 2013 to 2015. He has also dedicated his time to the Tenth Judicial District Bar and Wake County Bar Association since 2019, the North Carolina State Bar since 2019, and the National Association of Gay & Lesbian Real Estate Professionals since 2018. 

Mr. Moss has served on the board of directors for legal at the National Association of Out Professionals from 2019 to 2020, is involved with the Young Lawyer’s Division of the North Carolina Bar Association, the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys, and the Family Law Division of the North Carolina Bar Association. His academic honors include membership in the National Technical Honor Society, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, the International Dean’s List Society, the Gamma Beta Phi Society, the National Society of Leadership and Success, Delta Epsilon Iota, and Alpha Phi Sigma. Additionally, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County from 2017 to 2019 and served as an advanced certified tax preparer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Clinic in 2018. He also served as a judge for Durham and Wake County Teen Court in 2018 and provided 752 hours of pro bono legal services through the Juvenile Law Clinic in Durham, NC, in the same year. Additionally, he was the campaign director for Dinise Williams’ campaign for Wilson County Sheriff from 2017 to 2018.

Mr. Moss laid a solid educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice with a minor in alcohol and rehabilitative studies from East Carolina University, graduating cum laude in 2015, and a Juris Doctor with a concentration in family law from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2018. He became licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 2019 and was ordained as a minister through the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 2014. At East Carolina University, he served as a department of criminal justice ambassador and college of human ecology graduation marshall. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was named to the Top 10 Divorce Lawyers in Cary, North Carolina, in 2024, as well as the Top Eight Criminal Defense Lawyers in Cary and the Top 12 Best Child Support Lawyers in Durham, North Carolina, in 2024. He was also named to the Top 10 Under 40 in Family Law by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys from 2021 to 2024 and received the Excel Honor Award from East Carolina University in 2011 and 2012.

Mr. Moss takes great pride in becoming the first attorney in his family, fulfilling a long-held dream to help others through the legal profession. In the coming years, he plans to expand Piedmont Eastern Litigation by increasing staff, broadening legal services in family and divorce law, and exploring new areas of law. In the coming years, his goal is to ensure the firm can effectively serve a growing client base. In advising aspiring professionals, he emphasizes that circumstances should not define one’s life, encouraging persistence and resilience in the face of adversity. He believes in the power of determination and advises never to accept “no” as a final answer. In the legal field, he stresses the importance of humility, advising that attorneys should never use their title or license to the detriment of others, and emphasizes treating others the way one wants to be treated.
