Sherri Denton Mallory, partner and attorney at Mallory Law Firm, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in legal services and education.
With nearly four decades of experience to her credit, Ms. Mallory has established a successful career in law, specializing in civil and commercial litigation, real estate law, estate planning and probate, banking law, and family law. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Florida State University College of Law, a role she has held since 2024. Additionally, she has been an owner, partner, and attorney at Mallory Law Firm P.A., formerly Mallory & Mallory P.A., since 2004. She also worked as outside counsel at Peoples First Community Bank for over 14 years and is a former partner at Warner & Mallory, P.A. and Burke Blue Law Firm. She previously served as a senior attorney for the State of Florida, Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, and Department of Children & Families.
Ms. Mallory’s memberships include being a bencher at the St. Andrew Bay Inn of Court, a booster for Florida State University, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She is also a Little Sister of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and a former member of the Jaycees. Civically, she dedicates her time as the treasurer for the Wild Heron Property Owners Association from 2020 to 2024. She is a former member of the board of directors and executive board of directors and served as legal counsel for the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center from 2001 to 2010. Additionally, she was a former member of the board of directors, treasurer, and vice president at St. Andrews Bay Center Inc. during the same period from 2001 to 2010. She also served on the board of visitors at Florida State University College of Law and participated in fundraising campaigns for the college.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Mallory has received numerous awards, including the Top-Rated Lawyer in Litigation for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability from Martindale-Hubbell and the Lawyers of Distinction Award in Litigation for four consecutive years. She was also awarded the Graduate University Fellowship at Florida State University College of Law from 1984 to 1987. Laying a solid educational foundation, she earned an Associate of Arts in general studies from Gulf Coast State College in 1982, graduating summa cum laude. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, with a major in computer science, from the University of Florida in 1984, graduating with high honors. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor with honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1987. Her bar admissions include the Florida Bar in 1987, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 1988, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida in 1991, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in 1993.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mallory has achieved many noteworthy accomplishments, including negotiating and securing property for the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center in Panama City, Florida, and handling all aspects of the project, from purchase to financing. She also represented the developer for the 14th Judicial Circuit’s state attorney’s and public defender’s offices, overseeing negotiations and serving as the closing attorney. She attributes her success to hard work, perseverance, and maintaining a balanced life. She advises aspiring professionals in her industry to always be prepared and make a great impression so judges will respect them.
