He currently excels as the managing director for North America at ZRG Partners LLC, a role he has held since 2020. Dr. Salig’s experience also includes roles as partner and head of Americas Life Sciences & Healthcare at Boyden from 2019 to 2020, managing partner and head of Life Sciences, North America, at Ward Howell International USA from 2014 to 2019, and senior director and consultant to the chief executive officer at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories from 2011 to 2014. He was also the founding director, shareholder, and chief executive officer for Southern Africa at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories from 2003 to 2010, head of African operations at Hetero Drugs Ltd from 2001 to 2003, and director of new business development at Aspen Pharmacare from 2000 to 2001. Additionally, he dedicates his time to civic activities as an active supporter and volunteer for the Els for Autism Foundation. He is a member of the South African Senior School Sports Association and was inducted into the African American Golfers Hall of Fame in 2015.
Laying a solid foundation for his future success, Dr. Salig pursued an education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, earning a Doctor of Medicine in 1990. Following this, he completed an advanced management program in health and global healthcare models at Alliance Manchester Business School in 1999 and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cape Town in 2000. He also holds various certifications, including Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management, Leveraging Neuroscience in the Workplace from LinkedIn, Managing Anxiety in the Workplace from LinkedIn, Managing Depression in the Workplace from LinkedIn, and Neuroscience-Based Executive Coaching Course from Harvard Faculty. Additionally, he is a registered medical practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
Reflecting on his career, Dr. Salig sees a fusion of his medical background and experience in global pharmaceuticals. He spent a decade practicing as a physician and then dedicated 15 years to the pharmaceutical industry. Along the way, he found a compelling intersection between his professional expertise and his passion for helping individuals achieve transformative outcomes. In his current role, he leverages his knowledge to connect talented individuals with leading organizations, a responsibility that brings him immense satisfaction and fulfillment.
