With over a decade of experience, Ms. Rapp-Tully has established herself in the field of legal services, specializing in employment discrimination litigation. She is currently an equity partner and practice head at Tully Rinckey PLLC, where she has served in various capacities since 2015, including senior associate attorney from 2018 to 2019 and associate attorney from 2015 to 2018. In this capacity, she handles all levels of cases, including human rights and civil rights litigation. She is responsible for litigating various cases, communicating with opposing counsel for settlements, making appearances before judges, and conducting depositions. Additionally, she speaks at conferences and provides training through seminars and webinars. As the practice head, she oversees both the federal employment practice and the Maryland employment practice at the firm. Earlier in her career, she worked as an associate attorney at Alan Banov & Associates from 2013 to 2015 and as an attorney at Morris E. Fischer, LLC, from 2012 to 2013.
Laying a solid foundation for her career, Ms. Rapp-Tully earned a Bachelor of Science in communications from Ohio University in 2006. She gained extensive legal experience through various internships, including with the Federal Communications Commission in 2010, Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP in 2011, and the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps in 2011. She also interned for the Honorable Joseph Bianco at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in 2011 and with The Legal Aid Society of Nassau County in 2012. She graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2012 and is admitted to practice in 14 courts, including Maryland and the District of Columbia.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Ms. Rapp-Tully is an active member of various organizations, including the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International. Civically, she serves as the practice chair for the federal employment practice at Tully Rinckey PLLC and donates to Goodwill Industries International Inc. and other local nonprofits that support mothers, including The Salvation Army USA and Angel Adoption. She also volunteers at her local elementary school and within her community and is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars, sharing her expertise and insights with others.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Rapp-Tully was honored with the Rising Star Award from Super Lawyers in 2021. She attributes her success to her ability to advocate for herself, her dedication to her job, and becoming a reliable asset to her firm. She believes her promotion within the firm reflects her hard work and her skill in effectively communicating and counseling clients through difficult situations.
